Full course description

This five-week course is intended for two core audiences: instructors considering online instruction and new online instructors looking to build or revise their courses. Participants are reminded of sound instructional practices prior to building their own online course, with access to an empty course for course building with facilitator interaction and counsel.

Individuals who complete the course will receive a certificate of completion from the Mississippi Virtual Community College via the Academy Catalog.

Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to

  • Identify best practices for online instruction
  • Review effective course building components such as MSVCC syllabus, assignments, and assessments
  • Design and develop an online course via a Canvas shell
  • Employ the MSVCC policies and procedures
