The Homepage is the first page students see when entering a course, and first impressions matter! This synchronous webinar will demonstrate how to make an attractive and user-friendly Homepage for your Canvas course by incorporating links, downloaded fonts, buttons and graphics, etc.

Upon completion of the Canvas Homepage Design Webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Design an attractive Homepage in Canvas by completing the following tasks:
  • Change Home Page Options.
  • Link Content from the Home Page.
  • Download fonts and save them correctly to use in Canvas.
  • Create tables and buttons to aid in homepage navigation.

Kimberly Ellis



Kimberly Ellis has a master's degree in Instructional Technology, and bachelor's in Business Technology Education -- both from the University of Southern Mississippi. She has 10 years teaching experience in both secondary and postsecondary education.

Kimberly currently serves as the eLearning Coordinator at Pearl River Community College, which is part of the Mississippi Virtual Community College (MSVCC) consortium. As an eLearning Coordinator, Kimberly helps to ensure high-quality online courses through training, support, evaluations, and feedback.

Kimberly enjoys spending time with her husband and teenage daughter. In her spare time, she enjoys exploring new restaurants, traveling, going to the pottery or yoga studio, and shopping.
