Participants will be able to review the process
live during this hands-on workshop. The demonstration will begin with
strategies to encourage students to utilize the tool, receiving and reviewing
the detailed formal and informal learning history provided by the student
report, and making informed recommendations for the best prior learning
assessment (PLA) options. Each institution will have its own version of the
Accelerator Tool, and understand how to use uploaded learning outcomes from
your institution’s course and programs to assist students in selecting program
areas that meeting their learning needs.
Materials: Laptop/tablet needed. Pre-work will include
loading advisor names and course learning outcomes into the tool.
Outcome: Participants will receive a hands-on demonstration
of the PLA Accelerator tool.
